These Students Are Using FitGrid and Loving It

We created the FitGrid Class App to connect the fitness community in a deeper way. And that’s something that’s become even more important over the last year. Clients want to feel connected to each other while tapping into motivation that might have dissipated thanks to Netflix marathons and work stress. We chatted with six students from studios across the country to find out how they’re using the FitGrid Class App to connect with each other and their goals. Here’s why they said they love it:

They Never Have to Show Up to Class Alone

Sometimes what gets you out of bed in the morning is knowing that someone is waiting on you. FitGrid helps clients feel this accountability whether they’re taking a virtual or in-person class, and it makes them more likely to show up and get their workout in. Sara F., a client at eTONE Fitness, an all-virtual studio headquartered in California, loves this feature and explained, “it’s been so great to see when my friends sign up for class in FitGrid because it’s so much easier to coordinate our schedules.”

It Helps Them Stay on Track

Some people are self-motivated. Others need a little push. The Class App helps your clients set weekly goals and work toward them. Jennifer J., a yogi at Breakaway Yoga Studio in Maryland, loves setting her goals, and it’s helped her stay on track so far this year. She explained that “it’s been the perfect app for my New Year’s Resolutions and has kept me motivated and inspired to keep taking classes!”

Making New Friends Is Easier

Many clients come to the studio looking to find a community. But sometimes, that community is hard to break into, especially if friend groups are already formed. Kimberly D., a student at sculp’d in Virginia, uses the app to make friends with her classmates. She explained that, “I don’t always know if someone is open to chatting after class, but the FitGrid Class App lets me know if they’re just here for the workouts or more interested in connecting.”

It Gives Them Class Times in Their Time Zone (No Math Required)

One of the benefits of virtual classes is the ability to workout at studios anywhere in the world, but time differences can put a damper on this for clients. FitGrid solves this problem by displaying classes in the local time zone. Amy W., a client at Vitality Fitness Delivered, a virtual studio, shared that she “really appreciates that the class times are in my time zone. It saves me from having to do the math!”

It’s the Perfect Social Distancing Hack

These days, working out in-studio can feel intimidating, especially if it’s a studio you haven’t been to in a while. Clients want to feel reassured that social distancing measures in place, and FitGrid makes it easy to do just that. Carey M., a client at Project: Body in Atlanta, says, “it’s really nice to be able to see who else is attending class so you can gauge how crowded it will be.”

Giving the Gift of Fitness

Clients who love your studio also love being able to share the experience with their friends. Built into the app is the ability to send a free class to a friend -- a feature clients are really enjoying. Sometimes getting that friend into class the first time is all that’s needed to convert them to a long time client. Emily Z. has been using FitGrid to book classes at  Evolution Power Yoga and added that her “friends love when I can send them a free class!”
